Autodesk® Inventor® Classes


Autodesk® Inventor® - Level I

Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Inventor®, this course will teach students the basics of 3D parametric solid part and assembly modeling and 2d drawing creation. Class consists of 32 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: Basic computer skills required. Basic drafting skills helpful, but not required.

What you will learn: Autodesk® Inventor® interface; Creating and editing parts; Sketched, placed and work features; Dimensional and geometric constraints; Basic parameters and equations; Viewing commands; File management; Creating and editing part drawings; Dimensioning and annotating drawing views; Intro to assembly modeling

Autodesk® Inventor® - Level II

Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Inventor®, this class will focus on complex shape design, advanced assembly modeling, presentations, annotations, table driven parts and assemblies. Attention will also be given to adaptivity and other techniques for creating models that will update intelligently upon editing. Class consists of 16 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: Students should have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 or have a moderate experience using Autodesk® Inventor®.

What you will learn: Advanced part features; Advanced assembly modeling; Bills of Materials ans Parts Lists; Creating and editing presentation files; Exploded assembly drawings; Creating and editing tweaks and trails; Animating presentation files; Balloons and parts lists; Sectioned assembly views; Adaptivity and derived components; Driven constraints and motion analysis; Intermediate parameters; linking to excel spreadsheets

Autodesk® Inventor® for Sheet Metal Design

Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Inventor®, this class will focus on the unique tools, features, and capabilities in the sheet modeling environment. This class consists of 16 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: Students should have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 course, or have intermediate experience using Autodesk® Inventor®.

What you will learn: Sheet metal feature creation including Flanges, Contour Flanges, Contour Roll, Lofted Flange, Hems, and Bends; new tools such as Unfold, Refold, and Rip; Punch Tool; Flat Pattern Creation, Annotation

Key Benefits: At the end of this course, you will be able to create and document sheet metal parts in folded and flat pattern states with appropriate annotations.

Autodesk® Inventor® Tooling


Description: This course covers the fundamentals of injection mold design using the Tooling package for Autodesk® Inventor®. This class consists of 16 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft® Windows® 2000. Students should also have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 or have a working knowledge of parametric part and assembly design using Autodesk® Inventor® as well as parametric solid modeling concepts and design or mechanical engineering principles.

What you will learn: Creating plastic injection molds, designing mold cores and cavities, mold layout and assembly design, verifying and communicating the mold design, basic view creation, creating dimensions, annotations and tables, annotating assembly drawings, and using drawing standards and resources.

Key Benefits: This course will give students a thorough understanding of the principal requirements and components of a plastic part mold, and how to design, validate, and document an injection mold design.

Autodesk® Inventor® Cable and Harness Design


Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Inventor® Professional, this class will teach students the fundamental principles and recommended workflows for creating and documenting 3D electrical parts and wire harness designs. This class consists of 16 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft® Windows® 2000. Students should also have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 or have a working knowledge of parametric part and assembly design using Autodesk® Inventor®.

What you will learn: Creating cable and harness designs, wiring a harness assembly, refining a cable and harness assembly, communicating the design, configuring libraries and report configuration files, and creating, authoring and publishing electrical content.

Autodesk® Inventor® Tube and Pipe Design


Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Inventor® Professional, this class will teach students the fundamental principles and recommended workflows for creating and documenting rigid tubing, flexible hose, and piping systems. This class consists of 16 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft® Windows® 2000. Students should also have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 or have a working knowledge of parametric part and assembly design using Autodesk® Inventor®.

What you will learn: Introduction to tube and pipe design, setup for routes and runs, creating routes and runs, flexible hose routes, fittings and components, creating and managing library content, creating tube and pipe styles, and documenting tube and pipe assemblies.

Using Autodesk® Inventor® Studio for Rendering and Animation

Description: This course is for the Autodesk® Inventor® user who wants to create dramatic photorealistic renderings and animations using Inventor Studio, an environment built into Autodesk® Inventor®. This class consists of 8 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: Students should have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 course, or have intermediate experience using Autodesk® Inventor®.

What you will learn: Students will learn to create Cameras, Lighting Styles, Scene Styles, and Surface Styles; Video Productions; Rendered Images and Animations in various formats

Key Benefits: Upon completion of this course, you will be able to create photorealistic renderings and animations in various formats using the Inventor Studio environment within Autodesk® Inventor®.
