Welcome to our
Inventor CAD Camp Page |
|
|
This summer Quantum Training Centers Inc.
will be offering week long half-day Inventor CAD
camps. These camps are designed for high school students
at the intermediate level who wish to improve their skills in the discipline of
3D mechanical CAD
design. Oakland County students who participate in the Art-to-Part
competitions can get a jump start on the competition by learning advanced
techniques for designing, assembling, animating and rendering their 3D
design projects. |

The Format |
|
Our CAD camp classes will run from 8 AM until
12:00 PM from Monday to Friday. These classes will concentrate on advanced
3D design using Autodesk Inventor. For part modeling students will
learn to create advanced features, such as lofts, splits, combines,
drafts, embosses, and derived and adaptive parts to name a few. In
the assembly environment, students will learn to drive constraints, use
flexible parts, create position and level of detail representations and
weldments. Students will also learn to use Presentations to create
exploded views to animate how their assemblies should be assembled or
disassembled as well as to create views in the drawing environment. The
Drawing environment will be given full coverage to demonstrate how to
document their design in 2D. One whole class session will focus on using
the Inventor Studio to create stunning and dramatic photo-realistic
renderings and animations of their assemblies which the students will be
able to take with them at the end of the camp. Arrangements are being
finalized to have the students' assemblies created on a 3D plotter so that
the students can have their assemblies to take home as a memento of their
time at Quantum Training Centers, Inc.
We only have room for 18
campers. The first applicants that register for the full two weeks will
get priority - applicants registering for a single week will be next.
